Sophie de Menthon has been President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council in Paris since 2010.
She is a business leader who has always been involved in community life to promote private enterprise. At 21 she created a telemarketing company called “Multiline Council”. In 1992, she participated in the launch of the association “Women Plural”, which aims at creating solidarity between women and promoting enterprise.
Sophie has chaired ETHIC, the worker’s rights organisation, since 1995.
Sophie was a columnist at RMC from 2004 to 2013 on the show “The Big Mouths”.
Sophie also has a collection of columns entitled ‘Gallimard Jeunesse’ through which she explains to children diverse and varied topics like politics, justice and the military.
