Azizulhasni Awang, fondly known as ‘The Pocket Rocketman’ due to his small stature, is a Malaysian professional track cyclist. Being one of the top track cyclists in the world, Azizul has consistently showed his world class performance by winning some of the most prestigious races in the industry. He is the first and the only Malaysian cyclist to win a medal at the Olympic games including a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics 2016 and most recently, a silver medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

In 2017, he won his first World Championship title in the keirin and became the first Malaysian to ever wear the coveted rainbow jersey. Azizul was named Malaysian Sportsman of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Majoring in Bachelor of Sport Movement at the Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia, he is also the first non-Australian athlete to receive a Blue Award from Victoria University.
