Through a regenerative portfolio, Barney accelerates natural capital, science education, and R&D opportunities. He currently leads an off-grid venture to deliver a scalable blueprint that supports diversification away from monocultures.
Unlocking funding to sustain local communities supporting regeneration, improving access to water, shelter, energy and food. Barney has managed complex expedition programs in 8 countries, including the Arctic, Tanzania, South Atlantic and Patagonia.
He is highly adaptive within corporate, institutional and remote environments thriving alongside diverse cultures and unpredictable environments.
2017 - Leadership
Barney skied 1000km over 60 days to the South Pole, hauling a sled with supplies and shelter. Surviving off innovative technologies including a NASA-designed solar ice melter, biofuels made from waste products, and solar-powered batteries.
2018-2022- Business
Diverse employee engagement with public and private sectors. Presented live to 4,000+ students in over 6 countries. Employee engagement programs. Keynotes at WEF, UNGA, and Forbes.
2023 and Beyond - Impact
Currently based in Far North Queensland, Australia, Barney is building a venture to restore 527 acres of the world’s oldest rainforest Daintree. Through planting 360,000+ native trees. He co-creates with a growing team of 8 on the farm, 4 board members, and 100’s of volunteers.
