Since February 2023, Dr. Herbert Diess is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Infineon Technologies AG.
From 2018 to August 2022, he held the role as CEO of Volkswagen AG, where he was responsible for the Group’s strategic reorientation towards electromobility. He joined the company in 2015 as the head of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand and Member of the Management Board for the entire Volkswagen Group. Prior to joining VW, Herbert Diess spent almost 19 years at BMW AG, where he held various executive positions, most recently as a Member of the Management Board responsible for Development. He began his career at Robert Bosch GmbH in 1989 after receiving his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
