Dr. Notker Wolf is the director of the Benedictine Order, a global organisation with over 1,000 monasteries and 25,000 employees worldwide. For the "CEO" of the Benedictines, the maxim "ora et labora" is St. Benedict’s top priority – that is why he calls for more personal responsibility from each individual and does not hesitate before making politically sensitive demands. The unconventional cleric is independent and is outspoken, whilst fluent in seven languages.

At the age of 37 years Notker Wolf became head of the Congregation of the Missionary Benedictines and was elected as the fifth Abbot of St.Ottilia. In 2000 Notker Wolf became the 9th Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Order. He is responsible for all the Benedictine monasteries with about 100,000 monks, nuns and employees worldwide. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Gothaer Insurance by who all German Benedictine are life insured. He travels around the world about 300,000 kilometres every year.

Notker Wolf has distinguished himself as a bridge builder, especially to Buddhism and Islam. His Christian stance takes a different view of business managers. He takes a strong position against irresponsible management and profit maximization and speaks out for social responsibility and involvement, not only in business.

He also has an unexpected love of rock music: In 2003 the rocking priest brought the first CD of his band "Feedback", "Rock my Soul" to the market.

Dr. Notker Wolf is an extremely versatile, multifaceted and entertaining speaker. Backed by his extensive training and practice he takes a strong stand on social and economic policy issues, and has published several books relating to those issues.

His comments on the recent social and economic situation in Germany are highly valued. He is happy speaking to audiences in German, Italian, English and Spanish.
