Ryan Chilcote is an award-winning correspondent, presenter and expert with more than two decades of experience covering the world at Bloomberg Television and CNN.
Chilcote has moderated at the World Economic Forums in Davos and Cape Town, the New York Stock Exchange, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as well at numerous banking conferences and universities.
Most recently, Chilcote has covered some of the world’s biggest business, economic and political stories during his 9 years at Bloomberg TV where he has focused on geopolitics (Brexit, sanctions against Russia and Iran, Europe’s debt crisis), the oil market, energy companies, monetary and fiscal policy, currencies, the financial sector, private equity, tech, the automotive industry, tech and Russia – to name a few.
Chilcote also spent 12 years at CNN where he covered political and business news in Russia, the former Soviet Union, both of Russia’s wars in Chechnya, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Georgia’s “Rose Revolution”, Darfur, South Sudan, Kenya, Iran and the intifada in Israel.
Since joining Bloomberg in 2007 in London, Chilcote has held a particular focus on Russia. In the past year, he has interviewed a number of members of the Russian business community, including: Sberbank CEO Herman Gref, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina.
